BBP – November 2019 News

Fall Harvest Day
Fall Harvest Day this year was wonderful. Students enjoyed age appropriate activities and a visit to the pumpkin patch. Thank you so much to all of the 2019-2020 BBP room moms who helped out in the classrooms. What a great day of fun for our students.

Parent Conference Day
There will be NO school on Thursday, November 7th for Parent Conferences If at all possible, please do not bring children to your conference. This will be a special time for you to review your child’s progress and all that he or she has learned so far this year. Please be on time so that conferences do not run behind. Conferences will be scheduled in 15-20 minute intervals. Be sure to fill out a conference evaluation sheet and drop it off by the office on your way out. We look forward to seeing you all on this day.

Thanksgiving at Bright Beginnings
Each class will celebrate Thanksgiving with a “Feast” on November 21th or 22nd at 11:30 . Parents are invited to share a special Thanksgiving activity and snack with their child’s class. Look for a food sign-up sheet outside your child’s door.

Christmas at Bright Beginnings
Christmas is a very special time of year here at Bright Beginnings! We will spend the next few weeks teaching your children about the birth of Jesus Christ and how God wants us to give to others.

We will celebrate Jesus’ Birth with our annual Christmas Program for our threes, fours, and Kindergarten classes on December 10th at 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. The one and two year old and MMO classes will have a separate performance on Thursday, December 12h at 10:00 am, before their Happy Birthday Jesus parties. Families received a letter about our Christmas program this week.

We also celebrate with Happy Birthday Jesus Parties in each class, and by collecting gifts for local families and children in need. This year we will collect gifts for local families as well as foster children (through Heart to Heart ministries). Be looking for “Christmas lights” outside your child’s classroom that are individually labeled with gifts for families in need. These gifts will be collected at a special Chapel service on Thursday, December 5th. At this Chapel, Santa Claus himself will be talking to the kids about the true meaning of Christmas. Parents are encouraged to attend this special Chapel service.

Chapel
Once a month on Thursdays, all of our classes are invited to participate in a chapel service. Chapel is an important part of the preschool curriculum as it teaches students the importance of corporate worship in a fun and exciting way that is tailored to their specific needs. During these short chapel services, our music teacher, Mrs. Kelly will begin with several worship songs followed by a short message from Mrs. Heather Robinson, our FBCL Preschool Director.
Part of our chapel curriculum is to teach the importance of giving our offerings to the Lord. You are encouraged to have your child bring in a small offering for chapel. Our chapel offerings through December will be donated to Belief in Motion. Belief in Motion is a missions group who share God’s love to the people of Romania. We will use the monies collected to buy specific items that meet the needs of the people they serve. We hope to teach our students about missions by focusing on these missionaries based out of FBC Loganville.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. Parents are always welcome to attend chapel services! We ask that you sit towards the back of the worship center, leaving plenty of space for our classes to sit together. Chapel will begin on the dates below at 9:45 AM in the sanctuary. Thank you in advance for your support of chapel this year!
